An article about Hollie Steel appears in today’s Daily Star newspaper.

In the article, Nina talks about the difficulties faced after Britain’s Got Talent ended.

Nina told the Daily Star: “As soon as the series has finished you don’t hear a word from them ever again. The 2008 finalists – including Faryl Smith, who’s a similar artist to Hollie – did very very well from it.

“They got record deals and things like that. Hollie didn’t get anything.

“We believed Hollie’s talent was good enough to get some sort of recognition but nobody came forward.”

However, now Hollie’s career has been sponsored, and as you already know, she has released Edelweiss which is available from the store, and will be launching her debut album, Hollie, next month. The album can be preordered now from the store.

Nina currently has a six month sabbatical from her NHS job to help and promote Hollie.

Don’t worry about the cricket sounds – they are there to prevent illegal downloads and will be removed in a few weeks.

Hollie Steel’s second single, Edelweiss, is out today and available for immediate download from the store. I have just downloaded and listened to both of the versions – one of the versions is a “Radio Edit” and slightly shorter in length. The process of ordering and downloading the single was extremely simple and you don’t have to download any software – all you download is the song in MP3 format. All tracks are high quality 192Kbits and can be downloaded up to three times.

The single is beautiful. Hollie’s voice is crisp, clear and polished and the piano accompaniment superb. You will be not be disappointed.

Hollie’s upcoming single, Edelweiss, has today gone to the factory to be made. As you know, it is due to be released on March 29th.  Hollie has posted on Facebook the artwork from the single which I am reproducing here. Doesn’t she look adorable?

Here are a few updates on the progress of Hollie’s single and album – it’s all getting quite exciting!

The first single to be released from the album is “Edelweiss”, which is due to be released on March 29th. The single will also appear on Hollie’s album, which will be called simply “Hollie”. The album and single are being released under Jason and Nina Steel’s BB5 Records label.

The single and album are being distributed by Universal and will be available both in the shops and digitally online.

The first single, Edelweiss, will reach the distributor this week, all being well!

Here is Hollie Steel’s much anticipated performance of Edelweiss at the JSG Top 10 Awards Presentation in Hong Kong, which Vicky has uploaded to YouTube. Vicky has also provided me with the translation. The first video is the introduction, the second video is Hollie’s performance of Edelweiss.

Yes, you are right. She comes from Britain and was one of the final 10 in the final of the famous TV show, Britain’s…… Got Talent —- Hollie Steel.

Although Hollie is young, she sings beautifully. Today, she will be performing the song Edelweiss from the musical – The Sound Of Music. Please welcome this young and beautiful lady, Hollie Steel.

I don’t know about you, but watching Hollie singing so beautifully, in such a composed and polished way, in front of all those people in a foreign country, well, it brought a tear to my eye. Congratulations Hollie, you were stunning.
