Good evening all.

I am writing today from Stafford town centre where I am with my car which has broken down on the way back to London from Preston. So, while I wait for 2 hours to be picked up by a generous family member, I thought I would share the days events with you.
We (David Nisbet, Sean and I) waited in the rain for about an hour or so watching the acts before the main show started. Hollie was the first performer in the main show and frankly, they should have just ended it there; it was fantastic! Hearing 'Where are you Christmas' for the first time was amazing and I cannot wait for the cd's to turn up! She also performed Nessun Dorma which, as ever, was super.
We met briefly with Hollie and family after the show (albeit through a metal fence!) and spoke to Jason while Hollie was signing autographs and promotion leaflets for the single.
I recorded the performances and also the very brief interview afterwards and will share them with you if I ever make it home!
Overall, the cold, rain and broken car were certainly worth it to see another stunning performance from Hollie.

Until later,
Joe C

All I can think is that the tween girl population are voting by the millions for these guys. I suppose they are also great for viewership, and that's just business. Ouch.

Oh well, I'm sure Lucie got the exposure she needed. As we all know, you don't need to win to get the dream going, just the chance to show the world what you can do.

Hollie didn't win, and neither did Susan Boyle. And look at the wonderful results anyways.

I looked up the final of X factor, and although Simon Cowell was very nice to Hollie once, he was an absolute jerk to Lucie. How could he be so negative and mean towards this sweet, talented girl. Hollie was very lucky to meet Simon on one of his kind moments.

The twins and Lucie Jones were in the bottom 2 for the sing off. The twins performed as usual, Lucie sang beautifully. Despite Simon Cowell's earlier remarks that Lucie was the best female singer in the competition and that he would leave the country if John and Edward were to win, he chose John and Edward to stay in the competition over Lucie, meaning the result went on the (fickle) public vote, and Lucie received the lowest number of votes, probably due to the fact that the song she had sung was not that well known, and so was out of the contest.

Wow, never mind. I just took a glance at X Factor. I did miss a week.

Shocking.

The good news she and Hollie will be at the lighting together.

I'm going to go shake my head in disbelief.

Lucie Jones was dumped? When did that happen? I thought the competition was still ongoing.

Did I miss a week?
