Hi, josh had a good audition yesterday, Thankyou all for you good luck wishes . He thinks they worked so finger crossed. Hollie will be on the Forum tonight at 7pm for a chat. Please keep asking friends and family to order Hollies single. We could all make her dreams come true.

    Good news:
    Hollie’s is now number 8!

EXCELLENT video Joe! Hollie’s extraordinary talent and beauty really shine through in this one. It must have been a true blessing to hear her perform this heartfelt Christmas song live and I am sure all Hollie’s fans that could not attend appreciate it being posted here.

I was looking at HMV’s Singles Coming Soon Charts which counts Pearl Jam twice ahead of Hollie, once as a CD single and once as a 7″ single. Hollie’s single is number 7 on the CD Singles Coming Soon Charts.

I really appreciate it that Joe recorded the Preston performance for us, so don’t get me wrong, but I’m afraid the sound quality of this recording doesn’t do Hollie justice. It does sound distorted and screechy in several places, which is probably due to the sound system at the location, or the video camera, which is not designed to make great quality sound recordings. I’m directing a lot of people to this website, hoping they will order the CD, but I somewhat doubt whether they’ll get an adequate impression of Hollie’s vocal abilities, especially the people who haven’t heard Hollie sing since BGT.
    Again, no offence to Joe.

I absolutely agree Wouter, the sound at the venue was ok but the microphone on my camera simply couldn’t handle the high or loud notes. I was only using a normal digital camera but I figured that some people would at least want to hear it anyway.
And don’t worry, no offence taken!

    Joe

I’m glad to read you don’t take my comments personal Joe. The thing is, that I’m sending out hundreds of messages to people all over the world who ever said something positive about Hollie. Many of them did not hear anything from her in months. Quite a few reply to me they’re happy to get some news about hollie and are interested to buy her CD. It would be unfortunate if the first performance they check out does not have optimal sound. Anyway, I’ve send the link to Hollie’s Hong Kong performance to most people who replied to me tonight, so they can get a fairer impression of Hollie’s sound nowadays.

Yes it looks like it will be on sale there soon, but given the price this must be a test link – let’s wait for Dave to confirm it.

I agree with you. 2 days ago I ordered Susan Boyle’s CD (11 songs or so) for less than 8 pounds so I guess 4.89 is a bit steep for a single but I’d get it even at that price.

During Christmas holidays I will be a guest to my sister who lives in Finland. I can order the CD from Amazon and deliver it to Finland – the site says it will take 5 to 8 days for the CD to arrive, so we will be able to listen to it.

I am happy to see Hollie’s CD is preordering well. It’s no surprise to me (honestly, I’d be surprised if she doesn’t make the charts). Her opponets must be green from envy because she hasn’t received much media attention since July/August.

I didn’t listen to the end of Hollie singing the Christmas song. I don’t know if it is due to poor sound quality but she looked tired from all the travels. Despite the bits that have caused my negative impression I am sure the studio recording is much better.
