Hollie Steel Has A Record Deal!
I’m pleased to announce that Hollie Steel does indeed now have a record deal, or will shortly. She will be signing the record contract at the studio in the next couple of weeks. Her manager, Kane, is signing her to one of his labels VVR2 records, part of Vines Vinyl Records.
Unfortunately, the album was initially financed by the Steels as Kane became Hollie’s manager a little late in the day, as most of you already know.
Nevertheless, we can all look forward to a big release of the album and lots of press coverage.

brilliant isn´t it?
She has{too liberally used} the voice of an angel. Ten years from now she will be the beautiful talented singer that all young singers hope to be but few will truly compete. Does anyone else se a tiny Audrey Hepburn?
There is nothing more pleasing than the fact that people who have gone through enormous hardships have had their hard work and devotion paid off.

Hollie must be ecstatic that her dream of having her own CD is actually a few months from fruition but this announcement seems to contradict slightly a news item that appeared in the Accrington Observer today.
The article states that an independent label (Is the writer referring to VVR2 here?) only plans to release a digital download of the album and that money is still needed to actually produce the CDs and distribute them to the shops. The news information does seem a bit dated, though, since it hadn’t yet verified the christmas single. I, for one, hope that this is the case. I plan to buy many CDs in support but can only justify one download.
Here is the link to the news article.

If there are still financial difficulties, and the Steels can’t find a single sponser perhaps they might consider setting up a consortium of investors like Disney did with their Silver Screen partnerships in the 1980’s. I, for one, would be willing to invest.
Mick,
I think we may rely on the info provided by Kane, Hollie’s manager. You and I know that newspapers and e-media news services can write anything in order to attract readers.

biggest month of hollie news so far, we´re up to 17 topics
Whatever happened to the proposed duet of Hollie and Rolf Harris? Since the initial fanfare in late July, I have heard nothing more about it. Hollie now seems to be devoting all of her spare time to her album and single. I suppose the project has either been delayed or cancelled altogether. Has there been any recent news of the collaboration?
Mick, as far as I know, Rolf’s side never got back to Hollie’s side about that. Now that she has a proper manager he’ll probably sort it out for her.
Hi Nevin,
Somehow, I missed your reply until now. Thank you for your response about the Hollie and Rolf duet. I guess it may still come to pass.
Mick
Absolutely the best news, and so well deserved.
aw
The best news yet! I’m simply ecstatic. I’m also suprised no one has stepped forward to sponsor yet. It must cost them an arm and leg to make this album.
I have a suggestion for the title of Hollie’s album. Call it quite simply, “Hollie – Hollie – Hollie” Well, it’s not really my idea is it? It’s what Simon Cowell said before commenting on each of Hollie’s BGT performances and Ant or Dec said it at least once, so, it’s the obvious choice. I’d just like to echo Mick Uhl’s concerns about the formats Hollie’s album will be available in. It HAS to be available in CD format because downloading still accounts for less than 10% of album sales. Even if you can only get them distributed through Amazon it’s worth getting the CDs manufactured. Mine cost less than 70 pence each and that was at the one thousand rate!
Haha I wonder what Simon Cowell would have to say to her album being called “Hollie, Hollie, Hollie”
Assuming he has some sense of humor, he would probably laugh so hard
As before, I can’t wait for Hollie’s first CD. Hope all goes well in the studio!
