Hollie Steel Fan Video on Youtube

Well, the Britain’s Got Talent Live Tour may now have finished and Hollie Steel is back home enjoying quality time with her family. However, Hollie’s fans are missing her and are finding creative ways of sending Hollie tributes. Below is a fan video that I found for Hollie on Youtube. It is really rather sweet, so I thought I’d post it here. The part featuring Hollie starts at 25 seconds. Enjoy :-)

  • nina steel says:

    Dear Krystal

I love the video True colors you made of Hollie. It made me cry. It shows Hollie is just a normal little girl with a beautiful voice. I wish all those cyber bullies could realise this, it breaks my heart to see the nasty comments about crying and 2nd chances coming through. Can’t these people realise its perfectly normal for a 10 year old child, who’s worked hard rehearsing for months, to cry when things go dramatically wrong, especially infront of 15 million people, she desperatly wanted to get it right. Im so proud that Hollie had the guts to ask for another go and then go out infront of the camera’s and do it again. I thinks most adults couldn’t do what Hollie did. What i say to all those cyber bullies is ” pick on someone your own size” Hollie’s just a little girl, she has feelings and she tryed her best. If you bullies had one ounce of warmth and determination that Hollie has, the world would be a better place. Hollie is a beautiful girl inside and out. Anybody that Knows her can vouch for that.

    Nina Steel ( Hollie’s mum)
The proudest mum in the world

  • kevin (16) says:

nina i absolutly agree with you, i spoked to many people at youtube who say bad things about hollie, i told theme that they can`t say they hate her or anything like that because they don`t even know her, they only can say i don`t like the music she is singing, i also asked them if they don`t like her music why do they take time to write a comment, i also said that they have to remember that hollie is only 11 and its very hard for her to hear such stupid comments. i really really like your daugther for me she undescribable.

  • kevin (16) says:

please can anyone tell me were i can find more videos about hollie, like interviews, videos were she cooks with her mum at home or were she is at school or others, thank you

  • Krystal says:

    Hi Nina,

Thank you, i’m glad you enjoyed it! :)

And i totally agree with you, Hollie is one amazing little girl, and all the haters are simply jelous!

I’d kill for a voice like Hollie’s, and it is such an honour to hear her sing! She is an amazing little girl! :)

    Love,
    Krystal!

  • Krystal says:

  • Georgi Velev says:

Krystal, I liked the video very much. It’s very professionally made.

Nina, one needs an exceptional strength to read those comments about their daughter. You are absolutely right what Hollie did was phenomenal and very few (if any) could do the same.

The four of you – Hollie, Nina, Joshua and Jason – are very lovely and down-to-Earth people. I like the fact that we can communicate with you through this fan site and share our opinions and views.

Kevin, You’ve had a nice try at the site.

    Best regards,

    Georgi

  • kevin (16) says:

  • kevin (16) says:

hi krystal, i ranslated the the song true coours now in german, and i have to say very good choice for this beautiful video

  • Wouter NL says:

As I said in the comments, Krystal made Youtube a nicer place for Hollie, it has not been nice at all so far.
Jason told me Hollie and her family do not pay attention to cruel insults by ciber bullies, but reading Ninas reaction, it’s clear they hurt anyway.
If you see the interviews with Hollie it’s clear she is a well-mannered, sweet and modest little girl, and everybody who worked with her at the talent show seem to really like her. Jason and Nina, you did a great job raising Hollie, keep up the good work!

  • Wouter NL says:

Hi Mandy, I don’t really know where to post this on your website, but I found a video of Hollie who visits Wicked, her favorite musical, and apparently she is having a great time. The visitors of your website (which I like very much) may enjoy seeing it:

  • kevin (16) says:

  • kevin (16) says:

please, can anyone tell me were i can do a website for free and easy to do

  • Dieter says:

    Nina,

I very much sympathize with you. I always thought it must be heartbreaking for you and incredibly hard for Hollie. You say it, I myself could never have managed what Hollie did. And not only I think her final was great, I get lots of messages from others, all where amazed. She did a hard song and she did it perfect.

    Krystal & Kevin

I love your videos. I hope we will see a lot more videos from you :-)

  • kevin (16) says:

of course you will ;) :)

Thanks so much again everyone! :D

  • kevin (16) says:

now i know how i can get videos on my internetsite, you can found all my selfmade videos there

  • Joe Culbert says:

    Nina,
Kids that nobody pays attention to are all of a sudden empowered by sitting (hiding) behind a keyboard. They can type anything with no consequences. Anybody with a life wouldn’t have time for such nonsense. Of the millions that have watched Hollie it only takes a couple 100 to cause a lot of problems.
Hollie’s great final performance & standing ovations on the tour quieted many of them plus in time the rest will move on to other things. I have noticed a huge backlash from Hollies fans jumping all over them.
The good news is Hollie has a strong family unit to support her. Your little girl has a very bright future.

  • kevin (16) says:

    i absolutly agree with that.

  • David Nisbet says:

Thats a very well made video. It has inspired me to make one myself , this one is a bit different though its a slide show of Hollie ,with her songs as the soundtrack. It has a couple of faults but it took me a few hours to make so i will work on another one to replace it.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8qA67Drmw8

    thanks love David.

  • kevin (16) says:

any newspapper said that after hollies first performance on BGT, she run to her mum and said: “now i know i´m not ugly”. but is this true, i mean she is such a young beuty, also on her first performance simon cowell said: “the fact that you dont know how good you are is what i really like about you” makes me wounder, i mean everybody knows her voie is undescribable, maybe not everybody likes her kind of musik, but how she sing it, is unbelivable just undescribable how i love to say, so how can anybody say anything bad about her? only because he don´t like the kind of musik? i mean if you dont know her just only her way to sing then you can`t say you dont like her, also she is only 11 now and she also can visit youtube or any other site were she can read these stupid comment and thats really hard to hear for a 11 year old girl moreover its untrue.

  • WouterNL says:

Kevin, you are absolutely right that not liking the way someone sings or looks is no reason to make insulting comments. Sadly, some people seem to enjoy to make their comments as vicious and hurtfull as possible (Joe described the type quite well). It may be a comfort to Hollie that not just she but all artists get on line hatemail. Last year the BGT competition had some kid performers even younger and cuter than Hollie (Connie Talbot, Cheeky Monkeys) and even they got some very nasty comments for no reason at all. Apparently it’s a symptom of the present level of civilization in our society. The exceptional amount of ciber bullying Hollie got was due to the semifinal, but I expect that particular incident will soon be forgotten when people watch more of Hollies other performances.

  • JackeShan says:

Nina, I completely agree with you. Don’t listen to the cyber bullies.. they don’t know anything!

  • Mick Uhl says:

Nina, what you are asking of the cyber bullies is to show some empathy. Regrettably, that is precisely an attribute that they lack. When one has a self-centered outlook on life, like children, adolescents, and, unfortunately, some adults have, one has difficulty considering a situation from another’s point of view. In Hollie’s case, they don’t consider that her drive for excellence and desire “to get it right” might have motivated her pleas to start again. They only see that Hollie was rewarded for crying and she must not get away with that. That they resort to abusive and vulgar comments to accomplish this is a very sad commentary on their upbringing and a society that tolerates it.

On the positive side, the criticism appears to be dying down as more people have begun to defend Hollie on-line. I think, too, that her wonderful performances on the live tour are causing people to reassess their attitude towards her. Time and more opportunities to see what a beautiful person Hollie is will eventually make people forget all about her second chance.

  • Wouter NL says:

Mick is right, more and more people comment on Hollie on line in a positive way. An example is this website and the others, and the fan videos made about Hollie.
Normally, I would not feel comfortable with fan sites and fan videos made for a child (let alone contribute to it), because I don’t think it is a very healthy situation, which may influence the personal development of the child in a negative way. It is harder to stay a down-to-earth normal kid if people treat you as a hero.
However in Hollies case I do approve because there has been so much online negativism about her. It’s inevitable she will come across it when she get unlimited acces to the internet when she goes to secondary school. So we, the people who like Hollie, should do something to make it less painfull for her. We cannot make the haters disappear, but we can bury them under positivism.

  • Rebecca (10) says:

    Krystal, the video is great.
Hollie is exactly one month older than me..And now she’s my idol!
Everyone says my voice is excellent..but believe me, it’s nothing to Hollie’s!!
Nina, I’d love to be ‘pen pals’ with Hollie…May I?
    Rebecca…(11 on 1st august..YAY!)

  • kevin (16) says:

Wouter NL you rigth its a bit overdone to do all this sites and videos, but i do these things to make her more self confident, i mean before BGT she fougth she is ugly, also i think her parents help her to stay down to earth.

  • Wouter NL says:

Hi Kevin, don’t get me wrong, I’m glad you’re making supporting videos for Hollie. There are several others who got “creative” on Youtube with Hollies videos, but they did not mean to be supportive to Hollie at all, they just wanted to make fun of her. Keep posting your vids and get a lot of views, so people who go looking for Hollie on the internet get to you in stead of those heartless jerks.
Hollies parents have the good sense no letting her on the internet unsupervised, and I have every confidence in Jason an Nina to keep Hollies feet firmly on the ground, bless them.

  • kevin (16) says:

    you rigth

  • Scott says:

    Hi Nina

I don’t know how Hollie managed to come back like she did but she was brilliant. My friends daughter is the same age as Hollie and she would never have gone back on. Hollie was so full of confidence in the live show and even made my cousin cry during Eidelweiss.

I have uploaded a video that I took in Bournemouth on 5th July

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XevrHVJp7k

I have a couple more but I have not loaded them up yet including most of the other acts from the show.

Good luck to Hollie keep on singing and the record contract will soon come and ignore the bullies as they are only jealous.

    Scott

P.S I hope Hollie received the two congratulations cards from me and my cousin,we had to make up an address and hope.

  • Haselmaus says:

    Dear Nina and Fans
Yesterday I have seen a reportage in german TV about such young girls who drinks each weekend so much alcohol, and I remember for some year set some such girlygroup in the Internetcafe, and have fun to laugh about any boys who shows (they tink one) them a picture.
Perhaps, because Hollie has such really many 7 million and more clicks on the youtube sites, there are I thing about or more then 7 -14 Originalversions of the 3 GBT and BGT, songs from Hollie now ( 4 version because 2x Edelweiss) in youtube.

For 3 Years there was the Schnappi-lied from Joy
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oe3FG4EOgyU

There are “only” 6 million comments, but more then other music from any leven stil.
So because I saw this reportage about the alkohol drinking girls I consider if this is one of their oder boys sport to write this spam comments all. (Fun, good party is the reason fur such actions? they found the Vorbild Idol in Hollie.

Also my two nices now 17 ans 22 told it is often terrible how kids are in schools today with kids, which are brave nice, and want to learn for Study also in Gymnasium.
And it is because the parents of this poor girls between 12 and 16 cannot stop, her daughters, sons, to do this. I think because laissez-faire education, they havent learnt how tho treat children educate them, and the reason is standing in a book >> ” Warum unsere Kinder Tyrannen werden”! is a book titel from an Children Psychologe Michael Winterhoff.

So please take this as a Zeiterscheinung, is not your guilty, you are the hero, and we fans adult people help you to look forward, make your future, enjoy your p r e s e n t time, and forget this bullies, I hope we can keep it away from you. God shall bless you and save you, you are an very important person, lovely we need someone like you in the personellen Durststrecke!!!

Heintje is now Hein Simons, Jantje is now Jan Smit, people need singers in your age 10, 11! Noone from them will say his live was spoilt because they liked and loved it to sing as Kid.
