Hollie Steel – Bournemouth Gallery

Isn’t this gallery cool! You can sit back and watch the slideshow – scroll forwards, backwards, or watch in full screen mode. Move your cursor over the photo and arrows will appear to help you.

Many thanks to all of you who have allowed me to use your photos, especially Kevin, Georgi, Nevin, Scott, Haselmaus and David. If you want your photo at Bournemouth adding – let me know!

Here are some quotes from those lucky people who met Hollie and her family at Bournemouth:

Scott said:

It was fantastic. Hollie was the absolute star of the show.

David Nisbet said:

It was amazing! We were in the lounge when Hollie and family joined us. We sat down at a table and just chatted until it was time to go into the function suite. After Hollie’s performance they joined us in the rear bar, and stayed with us all night. After breakfast we played football in the garden,  then Josh played the piano and sang for us.

Robert Owen said:

Hollie was utterly magnificent.  Her performance of Nessun Dorma was a jaw-dropper.  Really I have to say: Watch out Placido Domingo!  Hollie’s ahead of the rest of the field and is hot on your heels with this song.  On Hollie’s performance of “Wishing” I have to remark how well her lower register has developed since the BGT final. So much more power and richness!  Yes, I think Hollie has overtaken Sarah Brightman on this song.

It wasn’t just her singing that was impressive. In spite of all the attention she got, she remained the most gracious, courteous, attentive and patient person it has ever been my privilege to meet.

Wonderful all round! Hollie made it an unforgettable evening.

She was in a different league to all the other performances on the night. My jaw literally dropped hearing her sing Nessun Dorma for the first time. Hollie Steel will go down in history as the female Luciano Pavarotti. English Nightingale sounds like a fantastic choice for an album title. She’s England’s next big thing.

i think you all now i use to say hollie is undescribable (indescribable), and i have to say although there is no word that can top undescribable (indescribable) there have to be a new word for hollie cause she is more than undescriabable i would say she is un un un un undescribable,i can´t believe a girl like her has got this massive voice, on the evening she sung nessun dorma as her 2nd song, and i wouldn´t compare hollie steel and paul potts but when you think about hollie is just 11 i would say hollie´s version is the best version of nessun dorma i´ve ever heard in my life, the reason why i like hollie that much is not only because she is a amazing singer, no also because she has got a brilliant personality she was so friendly to us all (like she always is), what i want to say is hollie would never ever let her fans down.

p.s: thanck you so much hollie for this wonderfull amazing entertaing time in b´mouth and i also want to say thanck you to nina, jason and josh you are all more than brilliant people.
and don´t foget to say thanck you to 2 grand who showed us an wonderfull performance as well, and also a big thanck you to scott, nevin, david, sean, georgi, setty, and and and ( sorry if i missed anyone really sorr but i´m bad with names) :D :D :D

I’d like to say thanks to all the other fans for their pictures. I got the settings of my camera totally wrong. Of course, I blame my camera for it :) I’ve got only 4 or 5 pictures with Hollie which are good but I actually think the fact that I was so unfortunate with my camera makes these 5 pictures very very special. In addition, I was too starstruck to ask Hollie to take some more artistic poses or just to have another picture with her, Josh, Nina & Jason.

Thanks to all people who share their pictures with those who did not go to Bournemouth last Saturday (like me). Apparently the evening was a great succes for Hollie, her family and the visitors, and Hollie looks really lovely in that white dress.
Maybe someone can have a look at the settings if this page, as many of the pictures show somewhat distorted (or is my computerscreen to blame for this?). I know Hollie isn’t chubby, so probably the rest of you aren’t either ;)

    • HollieSteelFan says:

Hi Wouter, It’s all a compromise really. You can keep the original aspect ratio of the photos but then you get nasty black borders around them and it doesn’t look good at all. The photos where people look chubby are those that have been stretched out to a wider screen. I could spend hours fiddling around cropping the original photos so they all have the same apsect ratio – but his would take me too much time. I still think this is a nice way of quickly getting a flavour of Bournemouth. All the original photos are on Facebook so you can see people in their skinny state. Personally, I prefer them a bit chubby ;-)

There is something very important I’d like to say. I made friends with lots of people during the ball in Bournemouth. It couldn’t have been possible if Hollie hadn’t sung there.

Thank you very much for your participation in the Diabetes charity ball, Hollie. I know you missed some lessons and you and your family gave up a well deserved rest the last weekend to come all the way down to Bournemouth. Many people already have and many others will benefit from the charity ball. And we – your fans and friends – will remember that evening for lifetime.

  • Scott says:

Hollie, Nina, Jason and Josh thank you for an unforgetable evening/ morning you are brilliant people and you made everyone of Hollie’s fans so welcome and let us stay with you all during the show and in the morning. Will never forget it.

Thank-you to all of Hollie’s wonderful and loyal fans Kevin, Nevin, Joe, Robert, Georgi, Haselmaus, David, Sean and anyone I’ve missed

Hollie is lucky to have such amazing fans, as we are lucky to have Hollie

Also thanks to Grand-dad John and Sallie you are both fantastic and cant wait to see you both again

    Scott x

  • Carmen says:

I’m glad the ball was such a huge success, and that you all had such a great time. I hope I can go see Hollie perform one day. If Hollie lands that record deal in the States I could go see her then, but oh so long to wait!:)

  • Robert Owen says:

Oh dear! As is so often the case with me, I make dreadfull photos. The two of me look nothing like me. YUK! Maybe someone has the shot where I’m on the dancefloor next to Joshua?

    • HollieSteelFan says:

Yes, it is wonderful software. I’m going to set up a permanent photo gallery page with photos of Hollie that everyone will be able to easily access whenever they want.

  • Mick Uhl says:

Mandy, a permanent photo gallery will be an exciting new feature for your site. Great idea!

    • Mick Uhl says:

Say Olivia it might be sooner than you think. Hollie and her mum have been talking about a forthcoming trip to Hong Kong in the chats though they haven’t given out any details, yet. Hollie did mention that she hoped to see you while she was there. Wasn’t that nice of her?

Hi Mandy. Would it be possible for you to remove the two photos of me? They are in between two of Nevin and the one of Scott smiling into the back of his camera. In the first of them my eyes are closed.
    Many thanks. Robert.
