Author: Here is Hollie Steel’s much anticipated performance of Edelweiss at the JSG Top 10 Awards Presentation in Hong Kong, which Vicky has uploaded to YouTube. Vicky has also provided me with the translation. The first video is the introduction, the second video is Hollie’s performance of Edelweiss.

It is great that there are lots of singers coming here to join us today. They are all very famous and talented. The following guest is one such examples. However she is very young.
Yes, you are right. She comes from Britain and was one of the final 10 in the final of the famous TV show, Britain’s…… Got Talent —- Hollie Steel.
Although Hollie is young, she sings beautifully. Today, she will be performing the song Edelweiss from the musical – The Sound Of Music. Please welcome this young and beautiful lady, Hollie Steel.
I don’t know about you, but watching Hollie singing so beautifully, in such a composed and polished way, in front of all those people in a foreign country, well, it brought a tear to my eye. 
Congratulations Hollie, you were stunning.

I don’t understand why the whole world hasn’t yet embraced Hollie as a true musical prodigy. That performance was extraordinary. It brings many tears to my eye. Yes, I’m emotional but who, after listening to her sing in that video, wouldn’t be?

I would first like to thank everyone responsible for getting this video out to Hollie’s fans worldwide e.g. Vicky and Mandy. Hollie, as usual, gave us another stunning rendition of Edelweiss. The Hong Kong fans, both in the audience and those viewing by television, were very lucky indeed to have witnessed this truly memorable performance. Hollie you get better and better with each show, especially with this song. I would like to echo what one of the judges said during BGT “it is ridiculous how much talent you have” and I feel that it is only going to be a short time till Hollie will be performing for us here in America as well as releasing her album. Also I agree with Mick that Hollie should be embraced as a musical prodigy across the world. Then, and only then, will we, as fans, consider our efforts to be a success.

I had fear by watching the fog powder you get it in the lung and have to houst, but nothing happen. Only you could not see the whole hall for a time. Is that a football Stadion.

The video is wonderful, and shows just how much Hollie is maturing as a musical artist, and also as a person. Her poise and confidence are quite evident.

I like the performer in you. You control your voice very well. Your rendition brought some recollections of the Charity ball in Bournemouth in October last year where I met you.
I just want you, Holli, to be more confident when you sing. I know it’s scary to sing in front of such a large audience in another country but you have nothing to worry about – you are beautiful and exquisite performer who actually can sing – in contrast to most of the contemporary “divas”.
The bit I like the best about your rendition was the way you held the note of the last “eidelweiss” – really stunning and professional. I am listening to the song for the 5th time and I am sure you can do it even much better. The composer who has done the arrangement has done a great job. It matches your range perfectly.
Even if the outcome of your album is not the best possible one I think you should continue your education in music. You’ve got a great potential and I am sure one day you will become much more than a singer.
