As you may know, we have been trying to “Get Hollie Steel a Record Deal” for a little while now, and it seems our wishes may have been answered as Rolf Harris has expressed an interest in singing a duet with the little songstress.
Hollie Steel and Rolf Harris Duet on the Cards?
Rolf Harris, who is now an amazing 79 years old, has previously had top 10 hits with Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport; Two Little Boys and Stairway To Heaven; although my own favourite is Jake the Peg which was voted the fourth best Australian song of all time.
Hollie’s mum Nina Steel, told the Daily Mirror: “We have just heard that Rolf wants to do a single with her.
“It’s a new song that Rolf has written about a grandfather and granddaughter. Obviously, we’re delighted. Hollie would love to record an album, so we really hope this will lead to other things.
“Hollie is a big fan of Rolf, especially when he was doing Animal Hospital.”
The Lancashire Telegraph has furnished a few more details about the song. Written by Rolf, it is called “Opa Jaki”.
Nina said: “It is a very sweet song and we are definitely going to go for it. We are just waiting for the music to come though so she can learn her part.
“This offer from Rolf Harris would be a good opportunity for Hollie and may help her to keep a high profile. We have been contacted by people from all over the world wondering and asking when she is going to do a CD and the support we have had from the public has been great.”

What you did in the Semi was inspirational. My friends daughter is the same age as you and she would never have gone back on. You proved that people can do anything nerves or no nerves.
You were so full of confidence in the Live show and even made my cousin cry during Eidelweiss which I have added below. Shame you never did ‘Wishing you were somehow here again’ from the final on the live tour. Never heard anyone sing like that before. Be nice to hear a full version
We arrived very early to the tour in the hope of seeing yourself and the other acts but wandered around the BIC for what seemed like hours and then gave up. Shame they could not have let all of you sign autographs at the show although I know there are time restrictions.
I have uploaded a new video that I took in Bournemouth on 5th July, I had some from the 26th June in Bournemouth but they were not as good as we were further away.

I have a couple more but I have not loaded them up yet including most of the other acts from the show and I have added the Get Hollie Steel a record deal petition to my youtube videos. There is also a link to my cousins son who sings and dances and has put in to go on Britain’s Got Talent next year.

That’s the best news so far, i’m soo excited. I was just watching & listening to some of Rolf Harris on youtubes, it’s the 1st time that i heard his songs, some of them are older then me & are very funny to listen to. I enjoyed listening to some of his song they made me laugh. I can’t wait to hear them together. I’m buying the CD as soon as it becomes available. I sure can’t wait to buy Hollie’s 1st CD as well.
By the way i’m also a huge fan of Hollie as well, she’s my all time favorite artist, before that i wasn’t sure who my fovorite artist was, it depended on the songs that they sung like Josh Groben, Hayley Westenra, Celtic Woman together & solo & Sara Brightman. There were a whole bunch of other artists before them who i couldn’t make up my mind on at all.

i know what you mean and like i said it´s great to hear that you are a big fan of her and i translated the text of you again, and i think you must really like her if you think you can say you are her no 1 fan and i know what you mean with this hype because when you are a fan of someone you don´t think of the other fans of her, i know that from myself, but in this moment i read youre text the first time i haven´t translated it good enough because i only saw that you wrote i´m deffinatley you´re no 1 fan and that´s why i was a bit uppset because i know what the other fans of her have done for her. but now i know what you mean,
