Get Hollie Steel a Record Deal

Well, we all think Hollie Steel is a fantastic singer, don’t we? And now a petition has been started at Petition Spot to get Hollie Steel a record deal. We’d like to get as many signatures as possible, so it would be great if you could show your support for Hollie by signing the petition.
In addition, I have created a badge in two sizes, that you could use to attach to your emails or print onto transfer fabric to iron on to your t-shirt, bag or anything else, to show your support for Hollie and encourage your friends to sign the petition. To save the images to your computer, put your mouse over the image and right click to get a menu, then left click “save image as” and put it in a safe place on your hard drive.

I’ve just signed the petition. I have a side question. Do these petitions have an effect in the UK? In Bulgaria, where I live, no one pays attention to petitions. We’ve had a petition signed by 300 000 people and still no results.
Hi George, I would imagine that if a record company believe they can make money out of giving Hollie a record deal, then they will. So the more people that demonstrate they would by a CD, the more likely they are to be convinced so it can only help. Alternatively, she may well receive an offer of a recording deal anyway because she is very talented and well known across the UK and much of the world.
I want to ask whether i can sign the petition because i am living in Hong Kong? And I am just a kid. Can i do that?

Just wondering, Hollie has been assigned a manager and has been touring with her mum on the BGT tour for a month. Plenty of time to meet people from the music industry I think. So far, has any producer expressed serious interest in making a CD with Hollie so far? As a Dutchman, I could only have a look a BGT via Youtube an an occasional message in an online Dutch newspaper, but it seems this show was very high profile in Britain. Not likely the British music industry will overlook Hollie IMO.

Hollie, you are amazing. My friend has a little girl who does singing and dancing like you do, and you are her new idol. You have a wonderful voice and it was brilliant to hear you singing on BGT and all the various videos. It is wonderful to see such brilliant talent like you and your brother Josh getting into performing. The both of you will go far. I read that Josh wants to have another go at BGT next year, and I hope he does really well. As for me, I like writing my own stories. In the one I am writing at the moment, if ever it went to the movies ( like I dream it will one day ) then there are two main parts in it that I would have you and Josh as the first choices to play. The both of you are an inspiration to young people, keep up the good work.
I am offering Hollie a recording deal. If she will sign with my independent label on which I release my recordings I will as follows.
Pay for and supervise any modifications necessary to make a room at her home suitable for vocal recordings. Pay 150% of the performance royalties that a recording artist would expect without any deductions for management etc. Arrange for the production, manufacture and distribution and promotion of the CD at my own cost and risk.
I can not pay for TV advertising nor can I offer a cash advance against expected royalties but I am offering a flexible contract that would allow any major recording company to buy out my interest at any time.
So far, this petition isn’t going very fast. Would it be an idea to post a link to this petition in the comments of the Youtube videos of Hollie? The people from the Greg Pritchard fanclub do this, and they got loads of people to their message board. Hollies videos are still getting a lot of views on Youtube.
On the other hand, there are many people who comment on Hollies videos we should not want to come here. Therefore I won’t post anything on Youtube myself, just leave the idea with the leader of this group and/or Hollies family.

What you say is very true in that that sort of arrangement is flexible for future developmnt etc and I thank you again for suggesting this, I am greatful that you have confidence in Hollie as I and the family do. It would be her dream (and ours) to get a CD of Hollie to show the world what she is capable of at 11yrs out there. As I say, she is tied in a contract with Syco until End August which is standard protocol for BGT and X factor contestants. If she doesnt hear anything by that time, then I beleive she is free to negotiate with other companies. We will certainly and seriously consider your offer which might I add is very good offer!!!

Theres no need for a petition to get hollie a record deal . in september when the BGT contract expires ,Hollie is very likely to be offered a deal with Sony BMG. As many other BGT finalists before her. If not ill come down with my 1970’s cassete recorder and ill burn off 2 million copies , she’ll still sound amazing .
Yeah Hollie will have no problem getting a record deal. Simon Cowell will have to be a stupid man not to sign her up, and he is far from stupid. She has a voice that is literally one in a million.
Thanks for replying to me Jason, I rarely ever get a reply to anything I put on a web site. Do Josh and Hollie like Harry Potter? I hope one day to get permission from JK Rowling to write a Harry Potter book of my own, and as I said, I dream of it one day hitting the movies, and if it did, then Josh and Hollie would be my first pick for two of the leading roles. Hollie has achieved her dream so why not the rest of us.

Yes, why not indeed!
If you have a talent at something, I say go for it and show everyone what you have to offer. Who knows it may pay off big time. I have my own talent of writing, composing, arranging, recording, production of music and I’ve been at it for 25+ yrs. It has been very self satisfying and at times lucrative. I wish I had done more during my young life to promote myself etc but back then no such thing as internet etc and things tended to cost alot of money. These days you can do alot of self promotion on the internet fairly cheep and thers much more of a chance of someone spotting you.

Now, Jason, that you opened this topic. Have you uploaded some of your works on the Internet? I mean, we have seen Hollie, and will most probably see Joshua on the next BGT or XF, but what about the person whom they have inherited their talent from?
I am really curious to know what your favourite music style is. Provided we are of a similar age (I am 31) I guess the style of your compositions is mainly Classical Rock and its derivatives (Rock’n'Roll, Jazz, Swing, Blues, but I would not put my money on Heavy Metal – at least you don’t look like one who dresses in a Heavy Metal way
or perhaps the so called ‘New Wave’ which resembles the classical music of the XVIII century.

Yes, Hollie Steel should get a record deal. In UK, in US, in Europe, in fact, all over the world. Who in this earth would not want to hear such a lovely voice. To all record labels: She is not a money making matter. This is about a necessary feeling, a touch, a change in our thoughts and the way we see life, hear and feel and Hollie Steel can be able to change all that with her music, with her voice. Theres a hidden feary tale in everyone’s heart, unfortunatelly not too many people can reach and find it. But this little girl could become the tool, that magical touch that millions of people need to bring out that lil shinning star hidding in our heart. One cd of you Hollie and you can create a world of fantasy with all of us in it. I do, I do , I do beleive in you. Let,s put it this way. Her first audition, she proved to her self she can, Second audition she broke in tears and im to tell you, even the soud of her crying was music to my ears. Second chance she proved bravery. She earned everyones heart and the final she proved that even the next song will be better. Now record labels, translate those 3 chances into money and you will see big numbers. In fact hollie even if you cry dont stop them from recording cuz even when you cry it still music to my ears. Don’t opera singers cry on their acts? and they faking it.
I love Hollie so much! She’s such a relief from most of these talentless pop singers who wouldn’t know real music if it ballet danced around their living room in Hollie’s tutu to heavy metal. Her voice has that rare, innocent, pure quality to it and not to mention a range that would be incredible even in an adult’s voice. I’m so happy that people have stopped most of this atrocious nonsense about her being a spoiled brat and have realized what an amazing talent she has! I can’t wait until her CD comes out (as there’s no doubt she’ll get a record deal), and hope to be the first in queue to buy it.
I too eagerly await her CD´s to become awailable here in Denmark. Hollie is a fantastic singer with a rare vocal range. Also she is one of the cutest, sweetest stars to have appeared for a very long time. She is miles away from being a spoiled brat. I don´t know where some people got the impression and I felt sorry on her behalf, whenever I read something like that. To me she seems a little girl who knows she can sing and do it extraordinay well but at the same time still is happy little girl who takes all the applaus and adimration in in the most innocent way. Happy and pleased by all of it and not getting too proud or acting like a primadonna. Every day I listen/watch her three performances on youtube and it often makes me cry of joy and always makes me very, very happy. Hollie: you are a gift to us all and I hope this is the beginning of a great carreer and lots and lots of happy days for you and your family.
