Hollie Steel Records Her Album at the Ace Centre in Nelson
Some details of Hollie Steel’s debut album that we know she has been recording have appeared today in the Lancashire Telegraph.
The article details how Hollie has spent the last two weeks in the recording studio, recording songs from “musicals and operas”.
Hollie is hoping to have her single released in time for Christmas. Yay!!
Nina, Hollie’s mum, has said that Hollie stands a great chance of reaching the Top 40 as the sounds coming out of the studio are “really good”. So far, Hollie has recorded seven tracks, some choices may be “surprising” to Hollie’s fans.
(My prediction here – a Christmas single from Hollie will reach the Top 10.)
Backing vocals on some of the classical tracks were provided by Pendle’s Arden Youth Choir.
Nina told the Lancashire Telegraph: “We want to do it right and to a commercial standard because we want to release it as a proper album.
“Hollie’s having a really good time doing what she’s doing and the songs sound really good.
“She’s enjoyed picking some of the songs herself. We’re trying to make it fun for her because she’s only a little girl.
“We would like to get into the charts. That’s the ultimate aim. No one is expecting a number one, but we hope it makes it into the charts.
“Fans from Hong Kong and America keep asking us when there will be an album – that’s one of the reasons why we are making it.”
Hollie has been recording her album at the new Ace Centre, in Cross Street, Nelson.
Nina Steel is impressed with the facilities there, describing them as “brillant”. She said that she was amazed to find facilities of such a high standard so close to home.
Ace Centre manager Kirsty Rose said: “We are thrilled that Hollie has chosen the ACE Centre to record her debut album.
“It is a brand new, state-of-the-art facility with a professional studio and therefore Hollie’s album will get a professional release.
“We wish her every success for the future and we are delighted that we have played some part in helping her on her road to stardom.”

Hollie Steel Video Round-up
Lots of people have been making Hollie Steel tribute videos, so I thought it was time to feature a few more on this site.
The first one is one by Krystal, who I seem to remember made the first of the tribute videos for Hollie – the first that I saw anyway. You can view it here:
The second one is by David, the Hollie Steel story:
The third one is by Ben Sinks, which I am unable to embed, but Ben has kindly sent me the video so you can download it to your computer if you want to – it’s lovely.
And finally, don’t forget to check out Kevin’s page where you can find all Kevin’s photos, videos and slideshows of Hollie.

Hollie Steel – More Websites and Videos!
There are two new websites dedicated to Hollie Steel that you might be interested in visiting. The first Hollie Steel site is HollieSteelOnline.com, a site that has been put together by the company who will be promoting the album that Hollie is currently working on. It is a very attractive site with animations and videos, and well worth a look.
The second site is by Scott, a regular visitor to this site. It is a very nicely organised and attractive website and you can view it here: HollieSteelFans.co.uk.
However, you do have to come back here when you’ve finished looking
If there are any other polls you would like to see, quiz questions you would like to suggest, or anything else, please let me know and I can add them to the site.
Meanwhile, Nevin has uploaded another video of Hollie he made on the Britain’s Got Talent tour, from Birmingham. You can view it here:
Hollie Steel Record Deal – Setting the Record Straight
There seems to have been some confusion about whether Hollie has a record deal or not, some of you know that Hollie has been in a recording studio, or perhaps read the entry on Wikipedia, and assumed that Hollie already has a record deal. This is not the case. Nina Steel has been kind enough to bring us up to date about the current situation.
There seems to be a little misunderstanding regarding Hollie and a recording contract. Hollie up to date hasn’t signed a record deal, we as a family are contacting as many classical labels as possible over the next month in the hope that someone will come forward.
In the meantime Hollie is spending some time in a local recording studio getting 12/13 songs ready, just in case a deal doesnt happen. If she doesnt receive any offers we will endeavour to release the 12/13 tracks ourselves on a smaller scale. Hopefully this should be before the end of this year.
Hollie had her first day in the studio last week and she had a wonderful time. We hope you all like the songs she’s choosen.
lots of love
Nina and Hollie xx
As you know, I was lucky enough to hear Hollie’s recorded version of Nessun Dorma and I cannot believe that she won’t be signed up as soon as the record companies hear it – it was amazing.
